In this KEEP seminar you will learn how to monitor and manage stress - your own stress and the stress within your organization. This seminar is designed to increase your understanding of stress and its causes and consequences and to examine the proven techniques you can use to control stressful situations.
This seminar utilizes conceptual material and experiential involvement to help you stop negative stress and start positive stress. Essentially you will learn how to put stress to work for you by:
- Learning the research and theories about individual and organizational stress
- Examining the physiological factors that are activated when you become stressed
- Examining the cognitive and affective reactions that increase and decrease your stress levels
- Identifying the causes of your stress at work and in your social and family life
- Understanding that organizational structures and policies can induce stress
- Measuring the amount of stress that you are currently experiencing in your life and how you are coping with that stress
- Mastering the tested techniques for reducing and/or coping with your stress
- Being introduced to the benefits of meditation, Zen practices and relaxation techniques
- Learning how to be a more efficient problem solver and more effective communicator
